Prayas and Neha, Court Marriage. June 2018, Bhopal

Prayas is someone for whose wedding I don’t even need invitation; my school friend who is more of a family. We share almost all our deepest, saddest and most vulnerable fears, so I had to know the bride Neha since their dating days. This Anda-Panda (they fondly call each other) combo is made for each other, Neha brings sanity to my ‘always-in-different-world’ idiot friend. Ever since I got to know their families have met and the wedding date is finalised, the countdown began and excitement increased exponentially!

The wedding was on 4th June with haldi, mehendi and sangeet happening over the weekend. Neha booked salon appointments for Prayas, from hair spa to facial and everything came as a surprise for him; I am sure I excelled at my ‘best man’s’ duties!

Finally THE day arrived and their courtship period ended at the court literally. Neha all decked up in green-maroon silk saree and Prayas in beige colored kurta, waiting patiently for the registrar to turn up.  After three hours of wait, they sealed the wedding with the signatures in presence of their loved ones and Neha Baxi became part of the Rokde’s!
