Saurabh and Nidhi, Couple Shoot | Orccha

Being born and brought up in Madhya Pradesh, I knew how serene and untouched landscapes are there in this state. Orchaa- the place that we chose for this particular shoot was always close to heart. It is a 6 hour drive from my home in Bhopal so I keep telling people this is a place that has been set up perfectly for romantic dates and getaways. Its'a hidden gem in the central part of our country. You want archaic,almost in ruins forts or you want calm riverside or you want sixteenth century chatris(cenotaphs) and storied temples- this is the place to go. I just cannot stop bragging about the place almost like I own it!

When my friend Saurabh asked me to choose a place for their Pre wedding shoot, you know the obvious choice. Nidhi-Saurabh are going to have an arranged marriage and they wanted a quiet trip to get to know each other. The shyness was bound to be there when we started our journey but soon they got quite comfortable and that helped us capture them in the most natural way.

We visioned a mix of traditional plus contemporary shoot which should align with this temple city. The added advantage was the couple too wanted similar pictures and it complemented their style as well. I am a huge fan of natural setups and golden light, the minarets and the beautifully carved walls, windows emitted their own light adding to beauty of images. The Raja Mahal has light and sound show too- perfect lighting in the night too. The riverside rocks and temples were just those perfect ingredients to wrap up the shoot.

It's always very fulfilling to visit this magnificent city Orchaa, I am sure the couple too felt the same. Looking at their chemistry and friendship, we know Nidhi+Saurabh are going to have a amazing journey together as life partners. Gaatha wishes you all the luck!
